Counseling will be designed to cultivate individual and family strengths in an environment
that strives for positive change, restores a sense of control, ignites a feeling of
hope and provides realistic alternatives for healthy living.
The body, mind and spirit cannot be separated and must be balanced for healthy living. Mary-Michael
Levitt and Barry Rusnock (Bio), a unique husband and wife team, combines the passion for their work
and love for the outdoors to bring to you programs that will exercise both body and mind. The
experience of adventure can increase your capacity for self-confidence, empowerment, accomplishment
and personal growth.
The Riverview Counseling Center has provided individual, couple and family therapy
in New
Jersey since 1984. The Center specializes in working with couples experiencing conflict,
affairs,
separation or divorce as well as remarried families. We also work with children and
adolescents
through issues of parenting conflict, academic performance, disruptive behavior at
home or
school, peer pressure, grief and loss, depression and anxiety. Issues of self-esteem,
body
image, life transitions, and successful stress and anxiety management are also addressed.

Barry’s
love for Adventures inspired him to complete the Philadelphia and Dublin Ireland marathons
within nineteen days. He finished the 10,000 foot altitude Peak to Peak 1/2 Marathon
in Allens Park, CO. Not satisfied with the mountains Barry guided fellow adventurers
in Class V white water rafting. Wanting to be outside all year round Barry became a
first rate downhill skier traveling to ski Stubier Glacier in Innsbruck Austria.
After backpacking the 90 mile Susquehannock
Trail, PA and climbing the Santa de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico, ice climbing in
Huntington Ravine and skiing Tuckerman’s Ravine on Mount Washington,
NH, Barry relaxes while fly fishing and coaching even the shiest fish from
under a rock to take his fly. He will grab any opportunity to fly through the forest
on a mountain bike and often jumps in the car to climb in the Adirondack Mountains
NY, White Mountains NH of the Shawangunk Mountains also in NY.
Barry earned the following prestigious honors in Scouting:
- Eagle Scout
- Vigil, Order of the Arrow
